Kebebasan Ekstrakurikuler Pramuka di Kurikulum Merdeka, Pro Kontra atau Kabar Gembira?

Kurikulum Merdeka, diluncurkan tahun 2022, membawa angin segar bagi pendidikan Indonesia. Salah satu perubahan pentingnya adalah terkait ekstrakurikuler (ekskul), termasuk Pramuka.
Sebelumnya, Pramuka adalah ekskul wajib di sekolah. Namun, dengan Kurikulum Merdeka, Pramuka tidak lagi menjadi ekskul wajib.
Hal ini sejalan dengan semangat kemerdekaan belajar, di mana siswa didorong untuk memilih kegiatan yang sesuai dengan minat dan bakat mereka.
Kini Apa Artinya Pramuka Bagi Sekolah?
Penerapan kurikulum merdeka tentunya mengalami dampak kebebasan dalam memilih ekskul sesuai minat dan bakat. Kini Pramuka tidak lagi menjadi paksaan tapi sebuah pilihan.
Sekolah tidak lagi diwajibkan untuk menyelenggarakan ekskul tersebut. Namun, Pramuka tetap menjadi salah satu pilihan ekskul yang dapat ditawarkan oleh masing-masing sekolah.
Hal ini bisa dikatakan Pramuka sekarang menjadi partisipasi sukarela bagi siswa, maka siswa memiliki kebebasan untuk memilih apakah mereka ingin mengikuti ekskul Pramuka atau tidak.
Dengan sistem sukarela, siswa fokus pada minat dan diharapkannya. Hanya siswa yang mempunyai niat, yang benar-benar tertarik mengikuti ekskul Pramuka.
Perlu diingat oleh sekolah, bahwa ekskul Pramuka tetap memiliki peran penting dalam mengembangkan karakter, kepemimpinan, dan kemandirian siswa.
Pro Kontra atau Kabar Gembira?
Peralihan Pramuka ekskul wajib menjadi pilihan, tentunya mengundang pro kontra di lembaga sekolah, khususnya bagi guru Pramuka ataupun yang lain.
Tidak menutup kemungkinan adalah kepala sekolah itu sendiri, begitu kaget mendengar kebijakan tersebut. “Pramuka begitu baik efeknya untuk menanamkan karakter bagi siswa, kenapa sekarang tidak wajib?
Bagi pengelola tentu kepala sekolah tidak menginginkan siswa-siswanya lemah karakter baik setelah Pramuka menjadi ekskul yang tidak wajib. Apalagi dilingkungan sekolah menengah atas, para siswa menemukan jati diri.
Bagi siswa tingkat SMA, apalagi SMK akan menjadi kabar gembira bagi mereka yang sudah lelah karena sudah mengikuti ekskul Pramuka di bangku SD dan SMP. Mereka akan tidak bertanya lagi, kenapa di SMK disuruh Pramuka lagi.
Penulis adalah wali kelas dan pernah suatu ketika menginfokan hari Minggu besok ada ekskul Pramuka di group WA kelas.
Mereka ada yang membalas,”SD dan SMP dulu sudah mengikuti Pramuka, sekarang di SMK Pramuka lagi. Ya jenuh pak!” Begitulah jawaban diantara siswa yang tidak sejalan sesuai minat dan bakatnya.
Kecuali kalau ekskul Pramuka sudah menjadi pilihan mereka, sesuai minat dan bakatnya. Walaupun tiap hari Minggu ada ekskul Pramuka mereka akan mengikutinya.
Bagaimana Sekolah Menyikapinya?
Sesuai keputusan mas Menteri, kini ekskul Pramuka seperti ekskul lain. Maka sekolah menawarkan ekskul Pramuka sebagai salah satu pilihan bagi siswa.
Selain itu sekolah juga perlu mensosialisasikan perubahan ini guru, kepada siswa, dan orang tua. Sehingga ada kerjasama yang baik, dan siswa perlu di dorong untuk memilih ekskul Pramuka tersebut.
Dari ekskul Pramuka sudah tidak lagi menjadi ekskul yang diutamakan, maka sekolah dapat memberikan dukungan kepada siswa yang memilih ekskul Pramuka, maka sekolah menyediakan fasilitas dan pembina yang qualified.
Bagaimana dengan Manfaat Pramuka?
Wataupun Pramuka sudah tidak menjadi ekskul, pihak sekolah tetap memberi motivasi dan mengingatkan kepada siswa bahwa Pramuka itu mempunyai manfaat, diantaranya:
Pramuka menanamkan nilai-nilai positif seperti kedisiplinan, tanggung jawab, kerjasama, dan kepemimpinan serta membangun karakter kebaikan yang lain
Selain Pramuka menanamkan karakter yang baik, Pramuka juga mengembangkan berbagai keterampilan seperti kerjasama mendirikan tenda, memasak, dan navigasi.
Selain itu, Pramuka juga memberikan kesempatan bagi siswa untuk berinteraksi dan mencintai alam serta belajar tentang kelestarian lingkungan.
Pramuka membuka peluang bagi siswa untuk memperluas pergaulan seperti memiliki atau bertemu dengan teman baru dari berbagai latar belakang.
Kesimpulan
Kurikulum Merdeka memberikan kebebasan bagi siswa untuk memilih ekskul yang sesuai dengan minat mereka. Hal ini termasuk ekskul Pramuka.
Meskipun mengalami pro kontra dan tidak lagi wajib, Pramuka tetap memiliki nilai dan manfaat yang penting bagi pengembangan diri siswa.
Dengan dukungan dari sekolah dan partisipasi aktif dari siswa dengan penuh kegembiraan, ekskul Pramuka dapat terus berkembang dan memberikan manfaat bagi generasi muda Indonesia
